Dedicated to Mr. Ryan Pulliam

Thank you to Mr. Pulliam for reminding me that it has been over my normal week since I have last posted. Unfortunately, I have no excuses, just apologies, and a promise to try to be on top of my game next time. To that effect, please enjoy the photos below of our happenings, and Chase's very first Easter!
After a couple of weeks of rest from cereal, we decided to give it another go around...this time, utilizing his big boy high chair. As you can tell from this picture, and the video below, he has taken to eating "solids" - unfortunately, he hasn't yet distinguished between cereal and plastic!

Such a proud king in his throne...

Speaking of sitting up, he is doing really well at sitting up on his own. He's not quite ready to sit without his mommy support so the pics are a little awkward and don't really show how well he is doing.... ...but he really is getting it :) Chase had his first Easter experience. Now that I have seen some pics from my other mommy's, I feel like the loser mom who didn't dress her kid up. Maybe he will appreciate me someday for not making him wear goofy rabbit ears, but I kind of wish I had! There is always next year! He seemed pretty stoked to be in his plaid overalls!Another thing I failed to do was ask the Easter Bunny to deliver Chase an Easter Basket. Thank goodness for Easter Bunny Grandma - she is always prepared and had some new summer outfits for us all! She also made a great meal and we followed it up with my horrible, and I do mean horrible Red Velvet Cupcakes. It is my new goal to make the perfect cupcake and at this rate, I will be 65 before that happens. Thank you to my family for eating at least 1 before the rest went in the trash. I wish I would have taken a picture of them. Not sure when this was, but it is a cute pic of Chase and Aunt Lauren! And last, but not least, I am going to share my photos of Erin Merrill's new baby room. I feel kind of silly posting them on my blog since you can read all about the room HERE but thought I would share them anyway. Stephine, myself and Erin (when we were painting something not so fumey) all had a blast last Saturday creating the beautiful room below for Baby Girl Merrill. The boys were there too, and after Mike realized I had bamboozled him into watching Chase all day, they had a fun time watching the Master's (at least I think that was what they were watching) and playing with Chase. Ryan Pulliam even got some baby Chase time in, stinky diapers and all!

Chase at St. Rose

I may be the only mom in the world to document her son's first ER visit on her blog, but knowing that Chase was not there for life threatening illnesses made me feel ok about taking a couple of pics. Chase has a viral infection which sounds much worse than it really is. We took him in this morning when his fever reached 104.5. I, of course, was freaking out and thought my world was coming to an end but the ER doctor reassured me that they don't usually worry until a fever reaches 106...106 degrees??? Just thinking about a temp that high made me nervous! Anyway, all of his bloodwork, urine analysis and even little boogey analysis came out healthy as can be....now it is just a waiting game for his fever to break.
Here he is with his little gown on (it was swimming on him so it is hard to tell it is actually a gown)Calmed down after a round of very pokey-prodey testing!

This picture was taken 5 minutes ago...Chase has been sick for the past 24 hours with a stomach virus and has a 101 degree fever...he looks miserable, doesn't he?
Jaime, Em, Baby Chilton to Be and the kids on our Sunday walk...Chase was there too but he was camera shy.
I'm so glad it has been a cool March - I can still wear my cute winter wear! Thank you Gary for my first Italian Booties! Last weekend was movie night at the Pulliam house and Stephine put together the best movie treats for us all! Do we think we are on our way to prom or what?! Movie night was preceded by a do it yourself pizza contest...ok, that is my competitive nature coming out, we really just had a fabulous time creating pizzas to share for all! The boys so proud of their hard work... ...Erin and Dave get back to it... Chase got in on the action too!
Well, I have been camera lazy the past couple of weeks so I hope you all enjoy what I have...this house has been a perfect picture of illness the past week. I had the flu, Chase has a virus, and Rigley ate an entire can of Enfamil. Let me clarify, Rigley ate an entire can of Costco sized Enfamil Formula. I think Mike was lucky to be in Dallas for his NSM all week. Unfortunately, he probably would have rather stayed in Dallas since coming home meant nursing us all back to health...thanks babe, you are a good nurse :).

The 40 Year Sigma Chi Reunion (UNLV Chapter) was held this weekend - Funny, it just seemed like another weekend with our friends ;). OK, OK, I must admit, I stuck to our friends who we see all the time but there were 270 people at the reunion and it was great for Mike to be able to see many people he has not seen in quite some time and even meet new brothers that he has not met before. Overall, a great night but I was ready to go home early and be with the future of Sigma Chi (Chase of course). Amazing that 10 o'clock at night is a late night to me now!
GIRLSBOYS This morning Chase thought he would help me on the Internet... Here is a video of Chase showing off his rolling skills (although he got shy when it came to rolling the opposite direction, he definitely knows how).
