Audrey's Ear Piercing

For Audrey's Birthday Auntie Julie got pierced her ears! She was so incredibly brave, not a tear shed. She is so proud of her earrings and loves to tell everyone they are pierced!

Girlfriend loves art...first thing in the morning you can often hear her asking to paint. Love it when the weather is nice and we can paint outside. Sometimes washable paints aren't as washable as you'd like to think :)

My 1st baby celebrated her 10th birthday on January 30th. Where has time gone?! She's just as beautiful now as she was when we picked her up from the farm...

Barbie World

I was thinking the other day that I don't remember Chase playing with his toys the same way that Audrey does at this age. She is very creative with her play and really plays "appropriately" with her barbies (not talking about the lack of clothes here, clothes are apparently optional in Audrey's barbie world). Rather, she talks for them, they play in their house, on their horses, etc. However, as I am writing this, I have visions of little Chase playing with his cars for hours on end. Around and around the house they would zoom, always racing or lining up on the ottoman. Really, his make believe was just as authentic as Audrey's is. It's just that I wasn't relating as well to his play. It's easy for me to see the world through Audrey's eyes because she's a girl and plays with the same girly things that I once played with. I hear her stories with her barbies and I can "see" her make believe. I guess I just had a harder time sharing Chase's world of race tracks and finish lines. Makes me kind of sad actually, I really miss those cars lined up all over the house :(. 

Project 52 | February

Another month of directed images...through my weekly project 52. The kids have been uber supportive of me and have complained a very reasonable amount ;)...I negotiate with treats very well :)

Week Seven  |  Focused (I used this same image for my portrait project, I had been sick and stole it from this project to use it over there :)).

Week Eight  |  Bright  |  She was so amazing while I was sick, a true bright spot for me.

Week Nine  |  Colorblind  |  I don't think he is colorblind but I swear we see things differently at times. What's grey to him is often brown to me and what's brown to me is grey to him :).
