Baby Noah!

Over the weekend, our good friends flew me out to take pics of their newborn son. OMG, he was perfect! Skin, head, face, everything was flawless...he is going to be one handsome little man! While I was away, Chase and Mike had some quality bonding time over burgers and football....and the house wasn't even a complete disaster when I came home!

Here's a picture of baby Noah....I posted more at http://www.carrieterrones.com/!

Town Square Reading

Now that the weather is (finally) cooling down, we have been making the most of our days outside. Wednesday's at Town Square have a little reading in the park, complete with balloons, characters and bubbles (a requirement for any Chase-loved activity). The pics below are from a recent week with Chase's friend Gabe...

Soccer Time!

I swear I will not over schedule my child. I swear. It's just that I really like for him to have things to do to keep him occupied during the day! So, in addition to two reading classes and art class, I found an itty bitty kids soccer class for him to join! Not many leagues cater to the little ones, and the youngest group I have found in Henderson is 3 years (if you know of a place closer to Henderson for under three, years let me know)! It took a lot of searching, but I finally found Las Vegas Indoor Soccer. It is out in Summerlin and it did not have the best reviews online, but I have to say it is not only worth the drive, but does not deserve the poor reviews! The facility was large, clean (for a place where grown men go to sweat for 3 hours at a time) and mostly well organized. Walking in we were a little unsure of where we belonged but once we figured that out, and once Chase's instructor stopped doing her mid field dance moves, the class was great. They changed the activities every five minutes or so and kept the kids really engaged with drills, stretches, and even bubbles (yay bubbles)!

If I can take a mom moment here, I have to say that Chase was the BEST at dribbling the soccer ball down the field. The teacher even commented at how good he was. GO CHASE!

These pictures were taken in very low light so you may see some funky motion blur...
Look at him go!

Football!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The pics below are from the much anticipated start of football season last week. Mike was beyond excited to wear his matching shirt with Chase. Chase was super excited too, I thnk :). This weekend, Mike ditched us both for the real thing and headed down to San Diego to watch the Chargers with his good friend Ryan. Jealous anyone? I AM!

Christmas Anyone?

Here in Vegas, we are just getting our first touch of fall in the air. And as crazy as it seems, Christmas is right around the corner! Chase is celebrating by wearing his incredibly itchy favorite Santa hat. If you or anyone you know is in need of holiday photos for your family, let me know. I would love work with you!

Yee-Haw!

Mike has fond memories of a little place called Bonnie Springs from when he was a kid. He has been waiting for quite some time to be able to take Chase out to the ranch for a real dude style day. We made the Merrill's come along for the ride as we were sure they would be equally excited about a trip to a real old ranch. While I wouldn't  call it a full blown dude ranch, it was a cute place and the kids LOVED it. And although I like to make fun of Mike's excitement over heading out there, I will totally agree that it was worth the drive and will likely do it again...some day ;).

Ma, really, I don't want to sit here!
A reall "choo choo" ride!

Artsy

After a long summer of few classes and a lot of time figuring out how to spend our days, Chase (and momma too) are enjoying a busy fall schedule. Art class started today and I was happy to see that Chase is just as happy marking up furniture that doesn't belong to us as he is to mark up our own furniture. Luckily, he isn't alone in that special talent.

Scared of being "that mom," I left my fancy camera at home. However, there were 3 other "that moms" who brought theirs...so I was just the mom with the crappy camera lol.

Little boy in a big, big world...
Smiling for the camera...or maybe for bribes of food...
