Family Friday Week Four

I've decided to move my Family Friday posts from my Photography Blog over here. It just seems a bit more fitting that my family would be here, and I seem to have a lot going on over on the photo blog! Also, I print this blog out in book form so I will want to have the images in my book for the year.

This week's post relates to Saturday mornings with the family. We have gotten into a tradition of going for coffee, then heading over to one of our parks that has some great running trails. Chase and I stay behind and play on the jungle gym while Mike hits the pavement for his run. The photo below is of Mike running away from us last Saturday :).

A+ Hygiene!

Little man had his very first Dentist appointment today! I have to tell you, I was uber-excited for this event (I'm weird, I know). Chase loves, no really, he LOVES to brush his teeth. It is a favorite part of his day and the best part is he is cool with me brushing his teeth and then loves to take over to do it himself too! We went to Anthem Pediatric Dentistry and the whole experience was great. Toys in the waiting room, a cool toothbrush gift bag when we went back, and a balloon on the way out. What kid could ask for more? The doctor let us know that because of his awesome hygiene we could wait for a year before coming back (the hygienist told us often times he will want to see them in six months). However, I'm not sure Chase or I want to wait that long...we may sneak back in sooner!

Not only does he have superior vacuuming skills, but he has mad tooth brushing skills too!

Sorry the pics are kind of blurry...I didn't want to be the crazy mom with the big camera so instead I was the crazy mom with the iPhone :).

Vintage Man

In preparation for my Friday Family post over on the photo blog, I had Mike meet me out in Nelson, NV to do some vintage shots with Chase. This is an outtake, but besides the fact that he doesn't think his shirt fits the theme, I thought it was a fun one :). He also thinks the truck should be exploding behind him. Wild Thing!

Chase loves this dog. He has moved on from his Venetian dog of months past and onto this lively little fellow. The best part is when he howls with the dog at the end!

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was a great day for us over here...we had beautiful weather and spent the day making the rounds with family eating delicious foods, playing games and watching Chase open many gifts from Santa. Amazing that Santa knew to come to our house, Ah and Pa's house, and even auntie Aayee and uncle Boo's! I don't think Chase quite caught the meaning of it all and seemed a bit overwhelmed by all the commotion but when it was all said and done, he was very excited to play with all of his toys, especially his TRUCKS! Little man has moved past the pink vacuum and onto his lawn mower and TRUCKS! I hope he remembers how much he liked vacuuming just a tiny bit when I add it to his list of chores when he gets older ;).
