And We Are Back...

But in addition to forgetting my card reader while in Cabo, I think I forgot my camera brain! I took some of the most random pictures EVER. As I am sitting here trying to figure out which ones to share, I am tempted to share none. However, that would not make for a very good post so of course I will not hold out! We had an amazing trip with some of our closest friends in the world. Our friend Ryan put it best when he said words won't be able to describe the experience, you just had to be there! Adam and Shanelle (and by that, I mean Shanelle :)) put together an amazing vacation for us all. Three days of wedding activities and a lot of time in the sun were followed by the spectacular wedding (fireworks, anyone?) and 3 more days of resting up from all the fun. We split our time between resort living @ the Hilton and Cabo living at Casa Rafael's and we are so glad we did the midweek split to mix it up a bit.

Chase stayed at home with the fam and I have to say I think he had a great time....unless they are holding out on me, he only fussed the day that we came home! Such a great kid we have ;).

I had hoped to post some pics while we are here of our trip to Cabo for the Sanzi wedding...but of course I forgot my card reader! I did, however, remember the camera....pics to come when we return!

Another Day...Another Toe

I'm always taking pictures of Chase's toes. However, the bigger he gets, the more his toes look less like bubbly baby toes and more like....BIG DIRTY BOY TOES! I took this picture today and it captures his feet exactly like I like to remember them...so sweet and soft :).

Barn Life

I recently went out to my cousin's horse stables to take some fun pictures. Shane has been a lover of all things horse since she was a little girl - first as a jumper and now as a trainer. I cannot believe it has been years since I have gone out to see her in action...she is amazing at what she does and I am so proud of her! Her stables are a fantastic background for pictures and we got out super early so the light was GREAT. Here are a few of my favorite pics...

1st Day of School....Kinda

For our summer vacation, we are heading out without Chase. He will be in good hands with the fam, but during the day he needed a place to go. So.....he is headed to preschool for the week! To get him ready for his own staycation, I am taking him a few days in advance so that he is not totally freaked when my dad drops him off for the first time. Today was his first day and he looked so cute and proper, ready to go. Since he is such an easy going kid, he of course had a blast and didn't miss mom at all!

Chloe Turns Nine (mos!)

More with my baby girl fever :). Chloe turned 9 months old and is just the cutest little being. Have to share her pics with you....and with all this girl power out there I am sure the next baby I have will be a... BOY!

4th of July

4th of July for us almost meant a party at our house. Our neighborhood has an awesome block party every year and we wanted to take part in it. However, our lack of a pool in the backyard quickly made me realize that we should look for a change in venue...and that meant a party at the Merrill's! Thanks so much for inviting us all into your home for a great bbq, pool day, and rooftop fireworks show. I still cannot believe I was on top of the roof, what with my fear of heights and all! (not to worry....the rooftop festivities were after the little kids were sleeping!).

As usual, I have picture overload to share :)....

So there is the ongoing battle of who Chase looks like...but man, when they smile, my vote goes to Mike!

After the pool, everyone headed outside to the street for fireworks. Chase was in HEAVEN. He has this new laugh/squeal that is just hilarious and he was laughing at the fireworks the whole time!

colo-RECTing cancer

I want to share the link to my friend Emily's blog. Visit colo-RECTing cancer to share her story as she beats Colo-Rectal cancer. Having 2 friends diagnosed with cancer within a 2 month span is unfathomable to me. Cancer is for a different generation...not my generation...the 30 and under set.

However, like Stephine, Emily is one tough cookie and she is not letting cancer determine who she is or how she will live her life. Emily has always had a way with words and although this is probably not how she thought she would bring her story to others, you will definitely be drawn to her humor and want to join her as she battles on. 

And because a post is no fun without a picture...and is even better with an embarrassing picture from years ago....here's an old one of us on the karaoke stage. Holla!
