Little Miss A is two! But she likes to say she is THREE!. I'll post that video in the post below…it's hilarious, no matter how you try to get her to say she is two, she definitely believes that she is a year older. Kind of like her personality, already wanting to grow up and do everything her big brother can do.
Like every mother before me, I am left wondering where did the time go? This year has been a whirlwind of growth for Audrey and Chase both. Audrey is still a little feisty but as she is learning new words every day she is a little less frustrated and a little more assertive. She definitely knows what she wants and she's learning to channel her grunts for what she wants into words and it is making for a much smoother ride. Just like her big brother, talking has come a little more slowly but every day she talks more and more. They are almost identical in their speech progression. And if she turns out like him, she'll be a very good speaker some day!
One thing that she learned a little (or a lot) more quickly is how to use the potty! Yup, she is completely potty trained, wearing diapers only during the night. She is really good at letting me know when she needs to go and hasn't had an accident with me in a couple of weeks. She did have an accident with daddy, but I bet she tried to tell him she had to go ;).
Audrey is super sensitive, always wanting to hug me, her brother, her dog, her daddy, her friends. She LOVES all things girlie, tutu's, dresses, shoes, blow drying her hair, doing her nails, pushing her dolls around. I know it's partially my fault that she is the way she is but I swear she was born with a little sparkle.
One of Audrey's favorite things to do is FaceTime daddy when he travels. It's to the point where she thinks every phone call has a face on the other side. She gets so excited when I tell her we are going to call him and loves looking at him and herself on the call.
I love getting Audrey from the nursery at the gym. Her squeal is unreal and it lights up my day.
She gives the best snuggles at night and loves for me to sit and rock her. When she tells me to sit it sounds a little like s&%@ which always makes me laugh.
Auds does love her night sleep, going to bed around 7:30 and sometimes waking after 8:30. Naps are short…whereas Chase would take a 3 hour nap in the afternoon, Audrey is good for an hour, hour and a half max. She does play in her crib for a while after she wakes, wrapping and unwrapping her babies.
Chase and Audrey are playing a lot together. I love listening to them talk to each other, I could listen to their toddler talk for days on end. Audrey truly IDOLIZES Chase and he's pretty dang in love with her too. They don't fight a whole lot yet so that's pretty nice too :).
I love being your mama Audrey, thank you for choosing me :)
