This will be a copy from my photography blog…I want to share the images that I post there on this blog so I have them available for printing out by yearly blog book!
Two years ago I started a 52 week project that allowed me to meet a great group of photographers and photograph a "theme" each week. I began slacking toward the end of the year. Maybe it was the idea of sticking to a theme or maybe it was that we were just plain busy last year but I didn't want to commit myself to another 52 week project and not complete it. This year I'm doing something a little different and am gearing up for a 365 project…meaning 365 pictures, one for each day of the year. YIKES! But for some reason this is less daunting. I don't have to worry about a specific theme, I just need to photograph something, anything 365 times. Heck, I can take that many pictures in a single session! Also, we aren't posting on specific days, we are simply creating one huge blog chain and posting when we choose. I plan on posting once/week, probably on the weekends. I'm assuming most of what I photograph will be my kids so watch out…mommy goggles will be on! I'm not going to worry so much about technicalities, I'm going to focus more on shooting from the heart, shooting what I love. Hope you will follow me along!
This image was actually used for a project that The Bloom Forum is creating for the victims of Sandy Hook. I can't wait to see the final project and will share it with you when I can. I thought it was fitting for today, since it is the New Year.
Peace to you all!
