Girls Weekend

Boy am I behind on blogging! We have had a very busy past couple of weeks without hardly a minute to take a break. We have enjoyed some amazing weather and had a ton of activities to do (a lot of which revolve around Dave & Erin moving which makes me sad :().

This past weekend Audrey and I took a girls trip back to LA to see her ophthalmologist and to spend a few days with Katy while Pete was in Vegas for the MWT. We had a whirlwind weekend, packing in a lot of eating, shopping, beach time and even a night out minus little miss A. She was amazing the whole trip. I think she just may like traveling better than being at home!

Chase hung out with the boys, and pa & ah, and Julie & Grandma Iris. I think he had a great time, but also missed me a bit which was nice to hear :). The weather was awesome while we were gone so he got to do lots of fun stuff out doors and went to the Lorax with dad. It's one of his favorite books so it was awesome for him to see it on the big screen!

Her ophthalmologist took a good look at her eyes again and said that since there is no crossing at all she does not need to wear glasses at this point. She is slightly more far sighted than she should be for this age but they typically don't treat that in such young babies unless there is the crossing as well. So, for now, Audrey is glasses free (which is great, because she didn't really wear them anyways!!!). 

Audrey is now TEN months old. Where does time go?!?! A few things about her:

-She still prefers feeding herself vs. having me (or anyone) feed her

-She cruises around all furniture as fast as she can. Usually she is trying to grab one of Chase's toys and lucky for him, he is still faster than her :)

-She is starting to use mama and dada (and baba I think) more discriminately

-The faster she crawls the skinnier she looks to me

-She is smiling a whole lot more and finds Chase to be EXTRA funny

-She finally learned how to suck through a straw. I don't know why but I felt like that took forever!

-She loves holding her own bottle

-She "stole" one of Chase's lovies (he never used them) and is thoroughly attached to it. It is blue with a bear on top. I need to take a pic of it

Here are a few pics from the beach. She had SUCH a good time and loved people watching. The beach was packed with interesting people so we had lots to observe haha! I have so many more to share and will get caught up soon!

 I ordered the one below big. It bothers me that there is a hot spot on her left arm but at the same time I love that she looks so little and you can just tell that she is intensely studying the ocean ahead. I also added a bunch of textures to it to give it more of an artsy feel...
