Audrey's 1st Soccer Season

This is the first time that Audrey has done a "sport" outside of dance. I wasn't sure how she would like it and actually thought she may hate it. Boy was I wrong. She LOVED it and had no fear on the field! I really am kind of afraid she's going to want to drop dance eventually and focus on ball sports, which would be totally fine but I had visions of myself as a dance mom :D. I'll just have to embrace the tutus while they last!

 Singing one last time at Grandfriends (Tall Grass Retirement)

 Had an amazing trip with both my mom and grandma. It was so nice to have them both here to experience Kansas City together!

 Audrey got to experience her first day of "kindergarten" where they toured the school and met some of the teachers!

Playing on her first soccer team - she LOVES it! And is so excited to finally be able to play like her big brother!

 Bruce and Sally also came to see us this month. We ate and drank our way around the city, and of course Sally kept the house neat and tidy! We had a blast and I'm so glad they were finally able to visit us!

Audrey Turns 5!

Every year, without fail, I think back to Audrey's 1st birthday. The memory of her screaming in her hot pink tutu is forever etched in my mind. It is easy to look back on those difficult months with her now with a smile. She has truly become the sweetest, most caring and loving child. She has empathy for others yet has a strength within that lets you know she is not to be messed with. Auds is bright and has bloomed this past year in her class both socially and with what she is learning. Her teachers say that she is an excellent listener and is excited to learn. She seems to really latch onto tactile learning and enjoys math and art. Creative, funny, sweet. That's my girl and I love every minute with her!
