Discovery

Over on my photography blog I've decided to dedicate more of my Project 52 posts to lifestyle images…images that truly capture the beauty of everyday life. This week our theme was discovery and I used some of the images below to capture A's discovery of the world around her. She's my little Miss Independent. She turned 9 months on the 27th and each and every day more of her personality shines through. While she enjoys exploring the world and doing things on her own, she's also more of a "touchy" baby and wants to know that I am right where SHE wants me. She prefers feeding herself to me feeding her, but wants me sitting right by her when she's doing it. She loves to play in the playroom on her own, as long as I am in sight. She has her own sense of humor and both my dad and I think she's going to be a bit sarcastic like we are. And I love watching her study Chase. She is truly mesmerized by his every move…and I am sure that will continue for years to come, whether he wants his little sis tagging along or not!

Soccer!

Chase began playing soccer in January…it's his first time in a "league" and we are all having a ton of fun (including Audrey, who gets to go along for the ride in the bjorn :)). Chase is super good at dribbling and kicking, but doesn't care to much for "stealing" the ball. In fact, he would rather give the ball to the other team than risk battling it out. We are working on that one! His coach says a lot of kids don't even want to play their whole first season but Chase definitely likes to play….we just need to teach him the art of the steal!

From the first practice...

From last week's game. Mike was the coach…and while Chase said Coach Daddy did a good job he thinks Coach Chris is better LOL!

So Proud!

Baby girl was so proud of herself this morning! I caught her pulling herself up in her crib which she has been doing with a little nudge from me. Today she did it all by herself and she was just too dang cute. I had to snap some pictures! And um…yea…clearly the crib needs to be lowered tonight!

St. Louis!

This past weekend, I went with some friends old and new to go visit Emily and Nick in St. Louis. They moved there recently to be near Nick's parents (who are totally awesome and hosted an AMAZING dinner for us at their home). They were gracious hosts and showed us an amazing time in the city. We had the perfect blend of laid back and tourist-y activities on the agenda. Thank you both for hosting us, love ya!

Most of the pics are from my iphone, sorry they are crummy!

At the St. Louis Art Museum…so much history in this town.
I took too many pictures of the architecture but it was awesome!
