Chase Turns Three!

Wow. I have taken a long time to write this post as Chase is now 3 Years, 2 Weeks and 3 Days. And they have been the most amazing three years of my life. He brings so much joy to our house and is the best son a mom and dad could ask for. He is helpful, kind spirited, sweet, loving and fun. He's always ready to be on the move and runs errands with me like no other. I'm in love with this little man and hope he always knows how very much so. He's also a great big brother and although I think he misses his one on one time with mom and dad he is adjusting really well overall with Little Miss A being in the picture :).

Right now Chase is in preschool two days a week. He has learned so much there and I love to see him blossom with the other children. He's the youngest in the class but really holds his own with the other kids. He current loves are his bike, scooter, soccer, TRUCKS, Jeep, did I mention Trucks? and Lighting McQueen. He also loves his dog named Jingle…its his go to friend, of the stuffed variety :).

Here's a glimpse into his day…we decided not to throw a big party this year, but he had a great time none the less!

Birthday cupcake for breakfast

More birthday cupcakes with friends @ the park
Chase and Skylar on their bikes…don't you just love the look on Skylar's face?!

And now for the gifts….the Big Jeep from Ah & Pa was an instant hit!!

Skylar took charge and helped with the gifts...

Then Uncle Boo stepped in to help open...

Finally all three got in on the action!

Birthday cake time! Of course it had to be a Lightning McQueen cake :)

10 on 10 | November

For those of you who follow my blog, you know I am an avid fan of The Bloom Forum. It is a wonderful place where I can learn, grow and share. This month I bring you a new project and a new opportunity for me to document my family. Plain, uncensored, and real. It is not only a way for me to join a fabulous group of girls for some photo fun, it is a way for me to connect with my family and remember the little things about life that make it so sweet. This project is pretty simple: 10 photos in one day | taken roughly every hour for 10 hours | posted on the 10th of the month. I hope you join me on this new photo journey and then head on over to New Brunswick, New Jersey photographer Kathy,  to see her images for the day. xoxo

Baby's Got A Tooth!

She cut this morning…and I wouldn't even have known except that she wasn't eating great and so I rubbed her gums and was pricked by the tiniest little tooth ever! Cannot believe the difference in teething between A and C….like night and day. He was soooo very hard and she was just soooo very easy! Maybe it's her way of saying sorry for being so tough the first few months :).

Halloween!!!

What a great night we had for Halloween…well….after poor Miss A had a little bit of medicine to help her fever. She had her six month shots yesterday and, like Chase, does not handle them well. But once the motrin kicked in we were all a happy little clan. The Merrills and Shipletts joined us for a fun night at our neighborhood block party. They shut the street down and had a hay ride, food truck, bounce house, and of course a TON of candy! It was a great night for everyone and so much fun to watch Chase this year. He really "got" the idea of trick or treating and kept asking "do I have enough mama?" So cute!

Can you tell there were a few tears involved? Poor little pumpkin :(

Finally a smile…but Chase had other ideas!

Grandma Iris helped in the trick or treating fun!

Check out the other race car driver :)

Thank god for baby bjorn and the boys who wear them :)
We also took the kids to the pumpkin patch this week. It's been so much fun dressing Chase up for all of his events!

Umm…yea…I was just a little scared watching Chase go down.

But he thought it was too much fun!

Erin gets a smile with the "pumpkin dance"

They call this a train ride. Hmmmpf!

Pumpkin carving…the boys got to work while the girls directed :)

Audrey got in on the action too!

Maybe next year Chase will understand that uncooked pumpkin just isn't so yum.

Erin had to take over for Dave to finish things up!
