Weather.

Weather has been so Vegas right now - park in the winter with little more than a long sleeve tee? Yup, thats the Vegas we love!
How cool is this guy. Chase is enamored by the skaters @ the park by our house. If I were this guy's mom, I would ask him where his helmet is :).

Birthday Paaarrrttaaay!

This past weekend we celebrated Stephine's entrance into 30'hood. Turning 30 can be a terrifying experience - one that leaves you wondering what you could have done differently with your life, what the future holds, and for some, what the hell you are going to do to celebrate!
Being one week away from delivery on my 30th took all of these unknowns out of the equation. I was simply looking for a massage table that would not break under the pressure of my whale like proportions and a meal that would make me happy (which had nothing to do with the quality of cuisine, rather, making sure I had the closest seat to the restrooms).
So it was with great enthusiasm that I attempted to throw my over bearing 2 cents in regarding what Steph should do for her party. Many ideas were thrown around (and thrown out), but the night finally happened at Mandalay Bay for Foundation Room, Red Square, and a Sublime cover band. In one word: Fantastic. Such a fun night out on the town....something we don't get to do very often!

Chase and the Baby "D"

I think the kid sees mommy hanging with her big Dyson waaaayyyyy to much. He couldn't put Sofia's baby version down all night tonight! Sad, really....

It's All Play for Chase!

Chase spent his week enjoying the nice weather that we have had...being outside in a tank top (for me, not Chase...don't worry, I kept a sweater on the kid) almost makes up for the 3 months of scorching hot weather that we have to endure once July hits. He is walking 80-90% of the time now which is really fun for us because he has access to so much more (Chucky Cheese anyone?!). And I love, LOVE, LOVE the sound of his little feet pitter pattering down the hall. Ugh, I die for that sound!
This mighty fine sand frog plans on keeping Chase content for hours on end. It will be just like living at the beach again....sandy kitchen floors...yeah! I'm wondering if this is why grandpa & grandma thought this toy would work out better at our house? :) BUBBLY TOES! Working the pro-biker circuit... The Pulliams & Merrills came over for dinner and a mean game of Liars & Dice. Meanwhile Skylar had some very interesting stories to tell Chase... But Chase was really only interested in getting his hands on her... Erin takes this game way too seriously. Seriously. Love having hired kitchen help! Thanks girls!

Girls Gone....Hiking?

Over the MLK holiday, I got a chance to spend some quality time with 6 other amazing girls for Theresa's bachelorette party. After months of planning, we arrived at the Red Mountain Spa in St. George for a lot of biking, hiking, working out, eating (every meal under 400 calories?!), gossiping and smuggled wine drinking. It was a blast and I am so thankful to Theresa and her mom Ann for finding this amazing location to celebrate one of the last few weekends that Theresa will celebrate as a single woman. And as an added bonus, I would not trade the smile that Chase gave me when I came home. It was truly heart breaking and I wish I had had my camera to capture the moment. Ahhhh....coming home is so much sweeter with him to welcome me back. Mike had a nice grin too...although I think it may have had a little bit more to do with the fact that his daddy duties were over for a while. Thanks babe for taking over while I was gone!
Fabulous cupcake creations by Stephine and Ricci!Geared out and ready to go... Story time...and they are all about making Theresa blush and/or cry! View from the top of our hike...

Resting after a bike ride to the cutest little art town. I would give you the name, but I don't want to spoil it (meaning, I don't remember the name).
