This Halloween was definitely the best Halloween I have ever had in my life (and hopefully the best Chase has had too)! After getting used to his costume on Thursday at the awesome party at my aunt's country club (complete with a pony ride), Chase was so enthusiastic about the holiday and I was thrilled! Our street shut down at 5pm and no cars could pass. The neighborhood did a fantastic job of filling the street with Hay Rides, Outdoor Movies, Bouncy Houses, a Hot Dog Cart, Face Painting and more. It was like a flashback in time...the kids were able to run free and candy was being passed out in all directions. I have never seen so many goblins in the same place at once...so many that we ran out of a rather large supply of candy by 7:15. Oh how the night made me love Halloween!

Baby Boy Turns Two!
Chase turned two today and had a great big day to celebrate...lunch out and then a Halloween party at Sally's club. He dressed like a lion (more pics to follow) and hated being in his costume but all was made better when he got to ride the pony. He's not one for looking at the camera but I was able to get this one out of him...may not be a smile but hey, I will take what I can get!

Chase Turns Two!
We celebrated Chase's birthday on Sunday with a football/pumpkin themed party. Boys watched football, kids (girls) painted pumpkins! It was a gorgeous day so we were able to hang out both inside and out....We served Chili, Sally's Salsa, Cornbread, Cupcakes and Beer (but NO keg this year...Chase's keg parties are officially OVER)! I was running around the party not taking much of a break for photos so I have a mis-mash to share with you. My goal for his next party is to take a break to really get some great photos. Hopefully next year, Chase will also be a little bit better about actually smiling in pictures...as it stands, when he sees the camera, he looks the other way. EVERY SINGLE TIME! I'm thinking of starting to bribe him!

Sorry!
OK, sorry for the drag in posting...I haven't been meaning to neglect but it has been pretty busy around here! I also haven't been taking a ton of pictures of my own family so you will have to go to http://www.carrieterrones.com/ to keep up with all of the work that I have been doing! SO....just a quick update...Yesterday we got our VERY FIRST PICTURES OF BABY #2!!!! For those of you who don't know yet, I am almost 12 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and so far everything is smooth sailing! 1st Trimester symptoms are different than with Chase, a little more nausea, a little more tired, a little more cramping...the list goes on! But overall I feel fantastic and I'll keep my fingers crossed that the different symptoms might mean a little girl (wives tale, right?). Of course, there would be a ton of positives for having a boy too so to be honest I am kind of on the fence about what I want!
Here's the baby's first pic:
When looking at the ultrasound, the doctor was checking for any indications of downs syndrome. He checked the neck and said it looks great and then he looked at the nose and said "Oh, looks like we have a good strong nose here." Normally, this means that the baby has a lesser chance of having Downs, however, I kind of had to chuckle and told the Doctor, "look at me and my husband...I think even a child with Downs would have a "strong" nose coming from the two of us!"
It was a great to see the first images of our little one and even though we have been through this before, and we understood the images we were seeing better, we were still giddy with excitement (ok, Mike may not have been "giddy") and cannot wait to meet our newest Terrones!
Backing up a bit, Mike & I celebrated my birthday this weekend and not being one for surprises, Mike definitely planned a great evening for us and kept it a secret up until the time we pulled in front of the Mandarin Oriental. Since I can't drink, he thought High Tea would be appropriate...
It was delish and surprisingly filling....When we went to Stack after, I couldn't even think about more food so it was cocktails for Mike and mocktails for me!
We then went to see Love which I lllooooovvvved! O has always been my favorite Cirque show and I didn't think Love would beat it but it totally did! Seriously, best show I have seen yet (well, it may be tied with Jersey Boys).
We ended the night by going to dinner...I think I will blame two meals in one night on the baby!
