Portland Oops...

Well....Chase and I had a blast in Portland. Unfortunately, I don't have the pictures to prove it! That's right...nearly ALL of the pictures that I took for fun while in Portland were deleted. Can I blame it on the camera or computer??????? I guess I could but I will suck it up and admit that I deleted them...ALL. Note to self: PAY ATTENTION TO THE QUESTION THAT ASKS IF YOU ARE SURE YOU WANT TO DELETE ALL! In a way I am glad it was the disk that had him on it because my other disks had pictures from a couple of cool photo shoots I did while I was there. However, it is rare that I get great pictures of Chase (he may actually hate the camera more than I love it) and on this trip I truly took some amazing pictures of him. So, I will have to remember the trip from the few pictures below that I do have and hope that I can get a few pictures that friends took!
We spent the first part of our trip spent at Maria & Gary's new house..Chase loved the backyard and huge play structure...look at those fake smiles. He's wishing I would stop bugging him right then...
Chase and Pico made for the best dance team!
Maria is 9 months pregnant (read: ready to pop!) and we threw her Oregon baby shower while I was there. Wish I had more pics of the party too because it turned out sooo cute! Chase spent the night with Gary & Jim partying too late while watching college football!
The day at the pumpkin farm is where I took some of my favorite pictures....this picture just doesn't do it justice. Chase had a blast on the John Deere tractors, semi trucks, playing with the pigs, picking pumpkins, and eating doughnuts (oh wait...that was me and Maria!).
Well, this post was sure to have been a lot longer but that is all I have to share. After Portland, we headed down to Corvallis to stay with my mom and really enjoyed playing in the woods at her house and hanging out downtown. And of course it wouldn't have been a trip to see my mom without a little bit of shopping ;). We miss Oregon already!

Loving PDX!

Chase and I are spending some time in Portland...hanging out on Pumpkin Farms and playing in the leaves...meaning, we are enjoying the fall that we loved so much while living here!

Next stop is my mom's house in Corvallis...so excited!

I'm taking a ton of pictures but haven't downloaded. Will share when we get back!

Baby Noah!

Over the weekend, our good friends flew me out to take pics of their newborn son. OMG, he was perfect! Skin, head, face, everything was flawless...he is going to be one handsome little man! While I was away, Chase and Mike had some quality bonding time over burgers and football....and the house wasn't even a complete disaster when I came home!

Here's a picture of baby Noah....I posted more at http://www.carrieterrones.com/!

Town Square Reading

Now that the weather is (finally) cooling down, we have been making the most of our days outside. Wednesday's at Town Square have a little reading in the park, complete with balloons, characters and bubbles (a requirement for any Chase-loved activity). The pics below are from a recent week with Chase's friend Gabe...

Soccer Time!

I swear I will not over schedule my child. I swear. It's just that I really like for him to have things to do to keep him occupied during the day! So, in addition to two reading classes and art class, I found an itty bitty kids soccer class for him to join! Not many leagues cater to the little ones, and the youngest group I have found in Henderson is 3 years (if you know of a place closer to Henderson for under three, years let me know)! It took a lot of searching, but I finally found Las Vegas Indoor Soccer. It is out in Summerlin and it did not have the best reviews online, but I have to say it is not only worth the drive, but does not deserve the poor reviews! The facility was large, clean (for a place where grown men go to sweat for 3 hours at a time) and mostly well organized. Walking in we were a little unsure of where we belonged but once we figured that out, and once Chase's instructor stopped doing her mid field dance moves, the class was great. They changed the activities every five minutes or so and kept the kids really engaged with drills, stretches, and even bubbles (yay bubbles)!

If I can take a mom moment here, I have to say that Chase was the BEST at dribbling the soccer ball down the field. The teacher even commented at how good he was. GO CHASE!

These pictures were taken in very low light so you may see some funky motion blur...
Look at him go!
